FREEMAN-PEDIA's EARLY MODERN FRENCH EMPIRE
FREEMAN-PEDIA's EARLY MODERN FRENCH EMPIRE
Freeman-pedia’s 4-page Early Modern French Empire covers the lesser of the 4 major Maritime Empires of the Early Modern Period. In fact, most of this is devoted to the reign of Louis XIV. In the beginning, there is a look at the College Board requirements for Imperial France in this period as well as a timeline and a list MVPs. There is also attention paid to explorers like Jacques Cartier, the 30 Years War, and the power of Cardinal Richelieu. However, the end is devoted to Louis XIV. Perhaps, no one man dominates the discussion of his region for an entire period of history. The last page breaks down the importance of Versailles.
